This is an unusual blog post, but I need your input. I am writing a book about Teenagers and the Law. Being a teenager is an exciting time. It is when they start exploring the grown up world, many times on their own. As parents, we are along for the ride, a roller coaster of fear, anxiety, and pride.
In the years of practicing law, more than I want to admit, I have found that teenagers and their parents are not prepared for the many legal issues that teenagers faces. I hope to help educate parents about legal issues that they need to talk with their teenagers.
The book will address issues from driving, sex, drinking, to interaction with the police. The book will give parents tools to explain the legal issues to their kids and also as a “go to” reference when issues arise. The goal is that a parent and their teenager have a clear understanding of how they interact with the law.
Through the next few months, I will be posting chapters of the book to the blog. Hopefully, by the end of the year, I hope to have the book completed and available to parents.
Here is where I need your help. I want to know what questions that parents have about legal issues that teenagers face. Email me at JohnAaron@aaronlawfirm.com.
